Smile Designing

Smile Designing & Cosmetic Dentistry Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance (though not necessarily the function) of a person's teeth, gums and/or bite. Many dentists refer to themselves as "cosmetic dentists" regardless of their specific education, specialty, training, and experience in this field. This has been considered unethical with a predominant objective of marketing to patients. The American Dental Association does not recognize cosmetic dentistry as a formal specialty area of dentistry. However, there are still dentists that promote themselves as cosmetic dentists.

Perfect Smile Super Specialty Dental Clinic is a specialized cosmetic dentistry clinic where Dr. Shresth Kr. Bhagat is certified cosmetic dentist. It is a multispecialty clinic where smile is designed for the patient with inter-disciplinary approach.

Dentistry is art and science. Art, It is a word with many meanings. The music of a symphony, the imagination of painters and work of sculptors all are examples of culture and artistry. We believe that dentistry is also an art where beautiful and lovely smile designed by the dentists, the smile designers through the ages. There are various procedures involved in the cosmetic dentistry. Among that few are:

Teeth Whitening / Bleaching (In-office / At home)

Tooth whitening is a common cosmetic dental procedure that has immediate benefits for creating an improved smile. Teeth appear lighter and rejuvenated.

Fractured Teeth

Unfortunately, teeth sometimes break. And if you have a broken tooth, it can affect both your appearance and how you feel about yourself.. There are ways to repair broken teeth and make them better than new! Perhaps the most popular method is the use of porcelain veneers or alternatively cosmetic bonding.

Gaps between Teeth

Many people experience gaps between two or more teeth in their mouth. This can be caused by a number of reasons. Fortunately, there are several different methods that you can use to cover up unsightly gaps and perfect your smile.

Crowns

Crowns also known as caps restore damaged teeth and mimic the shape, size and color of the surrounding teeth. In teeth that are more extensively damaged, state of the art all ceramic crowns such as Zirconia or IPS Empress can be used. These all-porcelain crowns are highly aesthetic and strong.

Porcelain Veneers

This involves bonding wafer – thin shells of porcelain to the front side of anterior teeth. The cosmetic results are excellent for discolored teeth. It can also be used to straighten slightly maligned teeth or even to close up unsightly gaps between teeth.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays serve as aesthetically pleasing dental care options for patients who suffer from extensive tooth decay or damage. An inlay is used to repair damage that lies within the center of a tooth, whereas an onlay is used when the damage extends from the center of a tooth to one or more of the cusps (outer, pointed edges of a tooth).

Invisible Fillings

When the decay has been taken out of the tooth, it is replaced with “filling” material. In the past, amalgam (silver) fillings were placed into the cleaned out portion of the tooth. With advancements in dentistry, you can now have tooth-colored/invisible fillings instead of silver amalgam fillings. You may even elect to remove your old silver fillings in favor of new, undetectable tooth-colored fillings.

Cosmetic Bonding

Bonding can be used to change the size or shape of your teeth, creating a smile that appears more symmetrical and space free, this single-visit procedure provides a fast solution for a more attractive smile and may eliminate the need for orthodontic treatment is some cases. Composite bonding can work wonders for your smile. Using materials that match the shade, translucency and the texture of your teeth, gaps between teeth can be closed, spots and discolorations can be eliminated, and your self-confidence can be enhanced through the improved appearance of your smile. Composite bonding is excellent for small defects in the teeth -- spots, chips, or gaps between teeth. For smile alterations involving an entire tooth or multiple teeth, porcelain is the material of choice. Bonding for teeth involves the use of composite resin tooth-colored filling material. This material can be used on the anterior (front) teeth or posterior (back) teeth. The procedure is sometimes referred to as bonding is because an adhesive agent is used to actually bond the resin to the tooth structure.

Tooth Jewellery

Dentists of today are finding that more and more people who consult them are no longer really patients. They are individuals who desire perfectly aligned, sparkling white teeth, and who may even ask for tooth jewellery. These cosmetic procedures have to be accomplished by professionals with professional products. These jewellery are bonded to teeth according to the position of the teeth.
